Almonds in shell, as nature creates.
The almonds in shell are an explosion of unique flavors in which all the genuineness of nature is evident. After harvesting in our fields in Puglia, the almonds are brought to our company and deprived of the husk and leaves. Here they are dried in the sun and only then are carefully selected.
The shelled almonds are a mine of vitamins, antioxidants, minerals, such as potassium, magnesium, phosphorus, zinc, calcium and iron, which are precious for the health of the body, especially in times of greater mental and physical stress. They are an excellent source of Omega 3, useful for the proper functioning of the heart and brain and also provide many fibers.
Eating 20-30 grams per day would be ideal for our health!
WHY BUY ALMONDS IN SHELL
The almonds in shell keep the genuine and authentic flavor of the fruit unaltered with its rich and delicate aromatic notes. The hard and smooth shell, with small pores and a pointed end, protects the almonds from any external agent and the fruit remains “protected”. Dried fruit, such as almonds and walnuts, have now fully entered our daily diet. It is therefore important to buy ingredients that are as natural and healthy as possible. The almond, enclosed in its shell, is excellent for its organoleptic qualities and contains countless nutrients. Its properties have been appreciated since ancient times. The almond tree is in fact native to Asia and it is assumed that it was already cultivated in the Bronze Age. For millennia the almond has been metaphorically considered a symbol of hope, rebirth and luck.

The recipes and how to eat them
Almonds can be consumed in many ways. The shelled almonds can be eaten with their brown “skin”, ie by simply breaking the outer shell, or peeled, eliminating the top layer at home. This is not a difficult operation and can be done very easily just keep the almonds in a bowl with water overnight. After the time has elapsed, drain the almonds from the water, the skin will slide off without problems and the almond will have a soft consistency. Almonds can be used in sweet or savory recipes. Italian pastry has a long tradition of desserts with this dried fruit, think of the famous marzipan, but they are also excellent eaten raw. There are countless cakes and biscuits that can be made with this ingredient and you can get inspiration by looking at our recipe book. Here you will also find many savory recipes to make condiments such as pesto, or first and second courses.
